Making a Difference Ministries (MAD Ministries) Effective Date: 08/01/2026
Making a Difference Ministries (“MAD,” “MAD Ministries,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what information we collect through madministry.net (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using this Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in a few ways:
Information you give us directly, through:
- Our newsletter signup form (name and email address)
- Our contact form (name, email address, and any message details you include)
- Our child sponsorship inquiry form (name, email address, and any additional details you provide about your interest in sponsorship)
Information collected automatically, such as:
- General usage data (pages visited, time on site, browser type, device type) once analytics tools are added to the Site (see Section 3 below)
We do not collect payment or financial information directly. See Section 2 for how donations are handled.
2. Donations
When you choose to give, you’ll be directed to our donation partner, Breeze, to complete your gift. Breeze processes and stores your payment information according to its own privacy policy and security practices, which we encourage you to review. MAD Ministries does not collect, see, or store your credit card or banking details.
3. Cookies and Analytics
We plan to use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our Site, so we can improve it over time. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymized or pseudonymized information such as pages viewed and general location. This data helps us understand overall trends; it does not identify you personally.
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may affect some Site functionality.
[Once analytics is live, add: a link to Google’s own privacy policy and, if serving EU/UK visitors, a cookie consent banner.]
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your questions or sponsorship inquiries
- Send newsletter updates about MAD’s work, if you’ve signed up
- Understand how our Site is used, so we can improve it
- Communicate with donors and sponsors about our mission and impact
We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you, and we do not use it for anything beyond the purposes above without asking you first.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate, such as:
- Breeze (donation processing)
- Squarespace (website hosting)
- Our email newsletter provider
These providers only receive the information needed to perform their service and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of MAD staff, supporters, or the children and families we serve.
6. Children’s Privacy
This Site is intended for donors, sponsors, and supporters, not for use by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through this Site. Information about the children in our program is collected and used separately, as part of our on-the-ground work in Brazil, and is handled with appropriate care and, where applicable, guardian consent.
7. How We Protect Your Information
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information you share with us. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
